  • Battle of the Christmas adverts

    Battle of the Christmas adverts

It appears it's that time of the year again, where major retailers bring out their anticipated Christmas advert to grab the nation's attention. You're always guaranteed to shed a tear with the John Lewis advert, but does Moz the Monster really prevail over the nation's favorite bear 'Paddington Bear' who appears in M&S's Christmas Visitor. It's up for discussion but ultimately, both are great marketing campaigns! Check the adverts out for yourself here.... John Lewis  /  Marks & Spencers

  • Have you seen the Walkers Windows bus?

Have you seen the Walkers Windows bus?

We've recently just designed a series of designs for our client Walkers Windows to feature on the rear of First Group buses operating across the Huddersfield/Leeds region. It was important we produced an eye catching design as it was going to be in the face of motorists and the public who are passing by. If you're in the Huddersfield/Leeds region, keep an eye out for the buses to go by.

  • Make your website responsive

    Make your website responsive

Times have progressed massively in the last few years with more and more people having access to the internet by using devices such as smartphones and tablets. Infact, a report published by Ofcom in 2015 stated that a third (33%) of internet users see their smartphone as the most important device for going online, compared to 30% who are still sticking with their laptop. Smartphones have become the hub of our daily lives, they're with us everywhere we go. They're a quick way to browse and shop on the move from your very own fingertips. Great aren't they?

So what happens if a visitor tries to access your website from their smartphone and you haven't got a responsive site? Well it's going to be hard to read the content and the user will have to do a lot of work to navigate the site. A responsive website changes it's layout to adapt to the screen size being used to view it. No matter what device your visitor is using, your website will appear in a user-friendly manner giving them the best experience on the page. Yes most smartphones and tablets have a pinch to zoom feature but this feature used on a non responsive website may still prove difficult as the navigation will be a mess and the legibility of text will also be poor. The biggest advantage of a responsive website for a business though is improved SEO (Search engine optimisation) results. Google announced that websites that were mobile friendly would rank better on mobile search results pages than websites that were not mobile-friendly. So a better looking website and a better performing website? Sounds perfect.

We make all our websites, responsive as standard. This helps us deliver perfect websites for our clients and maximise their client engagement.

  • Why SEO Will Help You Grow

Why SEO Will Help You Grow

What is SEO? SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation, which is any activity that aims to organically improve a website search engine rankings. Google for example prioritises links to pages it sees as relevant and authoritative to a particular search term. Relevance is measured by content and authority is usually measured by looking at the number of links to sites from other pages.

So how will it help your business? First of all, it'll make you a prominent result from engine searching which means increased visibility of your website. It'll drive more traffic because your customers can find it more easily. Targeted traffic to a website can provide publicity, revenue, and exposure like no other type of marketing.
